pregnancy support series

Pregnancy isn't always what we're told it would be - a 'glowing' time of joy and happiness.

For many women, pregnancy can come with anxiety, worry, depression, loneliness, body dysmorphia and more. Experiences often too embarrassing to share.

This four week group series aims to provide a safe space for women/birthing people to process their individual feelings about their pregnancy, learn coping skills for stress, anxiety, and/or depression, and connect with other expecting moms/birthing people who are facing unexpected feelings during their pregnancy.

Discussion topics include:

  • Managing the ups and downs of pregnancy

  • Coping when pregnancy is not what you expected

  • Coping with anxiety and depression during pregnancy

  • Finding support - navigating relationships with your partner, family, and friends

  • Preparing for the transition to life with baby

This group is meant to support expecting moms/birthing people who are struggling with their mental health and are feeling anxious and overwhelmed by becoming a mother/parent. Both first-time moms/birthing people and non-first-time pregnant people are welcome.

  • “The quality of care providers at Rebirth has absolutely exceeded my expectations. My partner and I attended all the classes there before our son was born (push prep, breastfeeding, newborn care, childbirth education and massage therapy) and all of the instructors were extremely kind and knowledgeable. Postpartum I have made use of counselling, chiropractor and Ease Mama retreats and again, all the staff were knowledgeable and kind. I absolutely feel a sense of community being able to access all of these services and more in one place and it's my first stop when I am looking for a service within the parenthood community. I feel extremely fortunate to have found this amazing resource in our community."

  • "My partner and I had a best experience ever in educational program before our baby comes; the place is so amazing, piece full , cozy warm interior and the course was full of information that we need to know during labour, pregnancy and postpartum , that helpful for both of us with a partner, so I’m not in stress anymore, because I know the process and what to expect in the hospital Big big thanks to our educator Alyssa Jarvis!!! Everything was so helpful from her, interesting, a lot of information and time flight so fast because it was interesting to listen One again, highly recommend this centre for your preparation before giving a birth and after postpartum period I will definitely come back for another course or just to see Alyssa again. Thank you so much"
