pregnancy support series
Pregnancy isn't always what we're told it would be - a 'glowing' time of joy and happiness.
For many women, pregnancy can come with anxiety, worry, depression, loneliness, body dysmorphia and more. Experiences often too embarrassing to share.
This four week group series aims to provide a safe space for women/birthing people to process their individual feelings about their pregnancy, learn coping skills for stress, anxiety, and/or depression, and connect with other expecting moms/birthing people who are facing unexpected feelings during their pregnancy.
Discussion topics include:
Managing the ups and downs of pregnancy
Coping when pregnancy is not what you expected
Coping with anxiety and depression during pregnancy
Finding support - navigating relationships with your partner, family, and friends
Preparing for the transition to life with baby
This group is meant to support expecting moms/birthing people who are struggling with their mental health and are feeling anxious and overwhelmed by becoming a mother/parent. Both first-time moms/birthing people and non-first-time pregnant people are welcome.
