Heather Shrumm, BSW, RSW
Hello there, I’m Heather.
I offer counselling services for Individuals. I am currently accepting new clients.
Life can feel overwhelming during the seasons of fertility, pregnancy, and early parenthood. In these moments, having compassionate, steady support can make all the difference. I see my role as a “holder of hope,” walking alongside you and being part of your village as you navigate your journey.
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and loss, burnout, caregiver stress, and major life transitions. I have a strong professional background supporting women and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional complexities of reproductive and parenting experiences.
My work is informed by both clinical expertise and lived experience. Having navigated my own challenges related to fertility and reproductive health, I bring deep empathy, understanding, and compassion to the therapeutic space. I strive to offer care that feels safe, validating, and nonjudgmental.
My approach is trauma-informed and evidence-based, drawing on CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based practices. I am passionate about supporting caregivers and parents as they care for themselves alongside those they love.
I welcome adults from all backgrounds and believe healing happens best in connection. You don’t have to do this alone—together, we can nurture hope, resilience, and a sense of steadiness during this important season of your life.
