responsive infant & toddler sleep support

Evidence-based, attachment-focused guidance for exhausted families—without the "sleep training."

Are you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and confused by conflicting infant & toddler sleep advice?

If you are reading this in the middle of the night, holding a baby who won't sleep unless they are on you, or worrying that you are "creating bad habits," take a deep breath. It's hard, and not because you're doing anything wrong.  Sleep can be complicated.

At Rebirth, we look at infant sleep through a completely different lens. We do not offer traditional behavioral sleep training, and we will never ask you to let your baby "cry it out."

Our Approach

Our specialized Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) uses the globally recognized Possums Neurodevelopmental Care Program to help your family find ease, rhythm, and much-needed rest—while completely protecting the secure attachment between you and your child.

What makes our approach different?

Traditional sleep training focuses on changing a baby's behavior through separation or controlled crying. Our approach focuses on the science of infant biology and the well-being of the whole family ecosystem.

Using the Possums framework, we work with your baby's natural biological sleep drivers, rather than fighting against them with rigid schedules or timers.

We can help you navigate:

  • Frequent nighttime waking and long periods of alertness at night

  • Difficult, high-stress bedtime and naptime routines

  • Anxiety and confusion around conflicting sleep advice (the "sleep rules" you see online)

  • The transition back to work or into daycare

  • Managing parental exhaustion, postpartum anxiety, and maternal mental health

Because sleep deprivation and postpartum mental health are deeply intertwined, our sessions don’t just address the baby’s sleep cues—they hold space for your emotional well-being, parental stress, and postpartum adjustments.

✨ Benefit Tip: Because this care is provided by a Registered Social Worker, your consultations may be eligible for coverage under your (or your partner's) extended health benefits plan.

What a Session Looks Like

Our sessions are warm, collaborative, and entirely customized to your unique family. Together, we will:

  1. Deconstruct the "Sleep Rules": We strip away the pressure of rigid schedules, wake windows, and sleep apps that may be causing unnecessary stress.

  2. Optimize the Biological Sleep Drive: We look at your baby’s sensory needs, feeding, daytime activity, and circadian rhythm to naturally build sleep pressure.

  3. Support Parental Well-Being: We build practical, realistic strategies to help you get the rest you need, reduce hyper-vigilance, and quiet the anxiety surrounding your baby’s sleep.

You don't have to choose between your own sleep and being a responsive, attached parent.

Meet Kasey!

I am a Registered Social Worker and Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner (CC-PMH) who supports individuals across life stages, including those navigating the transition to parenthood.

Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, self-compassion, and mindfulness, my approach to counselling is, at its core, relational. I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. I deeply appreciate that every person’s journey is unique, shaped by their own strengths, values, and experiences.

Together, we can create space to explore these experiences and support you in reconnecting with yourself in a meaningful and compassionate way.

For those in the perinatal period, I understand how raw and demanding this stage can be. As a mom of two little ones, I have experienced firsthand the challenges of new motherhood—learning to trust my instincts, balancing care for my children with care for myself, and navigating it all through exhaustion and change. I am also accredited in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC), an evidence-based approach to infant sleep and early development. I integrate this work with my mental health practice to support both infant sleep and parent wellbeing—helping families find sustainable, responsive rhythms that align with their baby’s biology.

You deserve the same tending to and care that you give to others and I hope through our time together, you can get in touch with a new sense of self-compassion, acceptance and connection.
