Amanda Hostland, MSW, RSW
Working with youth and young adults has always been a passion of mine and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals around the challenges that bring you into my safe, non-judgmental, and validating office space.
I am a registered social worker with 15 years of experience working with individuals and their families across the fields of child & adolescent mental health, housing, and addiction services in a variety of settings.
At present I specialize in work with children, adolescents, and young adults, particularly around mental health, stress management, LGBTQIA+ community, and eating disorders. I take a strengths-based, client-centered approach to practice and incorporate Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Family Based Treatment (FBT) techniques to help clients build resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and achieve meaningful goals.
Throughout my career | have been committed to empowering clients by recognizing their strengths and fostering positive change in a supportive, collaborative, and validating environment.
Outside of my professional role, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our boy/girl twins. Much of our free time is spent at the rink, supporting our children's love of sports and enjoying our time together as a family.
I look forward to our work together.
