Dr. Elizabeth Thornley
Meet Elizabeth!
Elizabeth completed her doctoral degree in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Western Ontario in 2019. She is registered as a clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario to provide services with children and adolescents.
Having worked with children and youth in various capacities for over 15 years, Elizabeth's professional experience includes services in a range of settings including community mental health clinics, juvenile justice settings, school boards, and private practices. This includes assessment and intervention services for behavioural and emotional regulation difficulties, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma symptoms, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and autism spectrum disorder. She also conducts psychoeducational assessments with children and adolescents.
In her clinical work, Elizabeth strives to be strengths-based and person-centred to create a warm and safe space. She values the uniqueness of each youth and utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to each individual. She strives to incorporate creative and arts-based approaches to treatment.
