Rebirth Wellness Centre is honoured to support our local Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Program again this year. They are gearing up for another busy season. In 2016, over 5,000 families and individuals were provided a Christmas Hamper to prepare a traditional Christmas dinner. This also includes a gift card for a grocery store to purchase a protein that they would enjoy. In addition to dinner, children 12 and under are provided a bag of toys which includes a craft, a book, a game or puzzle, a toy and stocking stuffers such as hats, mittens, crayons and colouring books. They provided toys to over 6,600 children in 2016 in just five days.
Please bring your donation of unwrapped toys and/or non-perishable food items to Rebirth Wellness Centre between November 1 - December 5, 2017 and we will pass them on to the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army could not serve over 15,000 people each December with the Christmas Hamper Program without the support of our community. Your donation to this program is not only greatly appreciated, it allows people living in poverty the opportunity to be free from worry for a few days over the holiday season. And that is a gift in itself.
The Christmas Hamper Program runs December 13 – 15, December 18-19. Toys are needed for all age groups, in particular 0 – 3 and 10 – 12. (See list below for more information.)
Thank you so much for your help, and Happy Holidays!
