Yoga & Meditation for Children
During each 45 minute class your child will practice meditation and yoga while incorporating interactive games, stories and activities. Through meditation we will be learning breathing techniques and visualization to manage strong emotions, self-regulate, cope with transitions and build resiliency. Using Yoga as a moving meditation, your child will leave the program feeling grounded and refreshed.
The simple and fun techniques we use can easily be incorporated into their daily routine and will be developmentally appropriate for each child’s unique interests, needs and abilities. Together the children will create a safe and beautiful place to connect with their true selves, building their sense of self love and worth.
Classes are available for ages 4-7 and are facilitated by Bizz Varty.
Price: $49 + hst for 4 weeks

Bizz Varty, Certified Yoga and Pilates Instructor (Hons BFA)
Bizz Varty invites you to centre yourself and experience the joy of movement through mind-body fitness while improving your strength, flexibility and balance, regardless of your movement experience. Her teaching style combines the precision and efficiency of pilates with the flow and philosophy of yoga and the creative expression of her dance background. Bizz’s attention to anatomical detail , as well as her fun, engaging instruction have earned the respect of respect students from all walks of life. Bizz has completed her PilatesTeacher Certification through Body Harmonics Studio and, in April 2012, became a certified Yoga Teacher through Align and Shine Yoga.
Bizz has a passion for the art of movement and the science of human motion. She has studied dance for more than 20 years, and began teaching when she was only 17. Her interest in fitness began at a young age and has been practicing Yoga and Pilates for over a decade. While completing her Honours BFA in Dance at York University she studied Choreography, Dance Science and Kinesiology, Dance and Sports Injuries as well as Educational and Developmental Psychology. Bizz’s ongoing education in the science and art of movement, combined with her history with personal injuries, has given her a healthy respect for fitness basics and a wealth of knowledge on pain management and rehabilitation. She has extensive experience adapting exercises for people with injuries and mobility issues, allowing them to enjoy the full benefits of mind-body fitness.
